This part of the site outlines the history of Joseph SIROIS dit
DUPLESSIS, grandson of Francois, and his descendants. Joseph dropped
the family name of SIROIS and became known as Joseph DUPLESSIS. He
is the common ancestor of the Duplessis families of New Brunswick and
Maine.
